The proposal seeks to adopt the principles stated in the Strategy presented in the Urban Regeneration Guide for the Mănăștur neighborhood, first of all by reconsidering the Spring Park as a component of a green system that connects the Făget Forest area with the Iuliu Hatieganu Park and the bank of the Someșul Mic river. From this point of view, it was proposed to return to the spatial continuity of the planted surface, by eliminating the section of Almașului Street and the existing gas station, seen as an improper function in the proximity of a residential area. The redistribution of the parking spaces arranged in the area was also taken into account, with the preservation of their number, for a greater efficiency of occupying the land. Through these measures, the surface of the public garden expands by approx. 25%, which allows for new functional arrangements and landscaping of it. The presence of the Calvaria stream route was also taken into account here, channeled to a considerable depth and difficult to bring to the surface, but which will be marked in the form of a wet strip, landscaped with specific natural vegetation. This strip assumes, on the one hand, the quality of a structuring compositional element of the public garden and, on the other hand, the main natural and aquatic element of the newly arranged green space.
