The present proposal is based on the World Bank’s Urban Regeneration Guide for neighborhoods built during state socialism. The purpose of the proposals is to improve the quality of life in these neighborhoods, which represent significant areas in the big cities on the territory of Romania. The studied sector has an area of approximately 171 hectares, between Octavian Goga Boulevard to the North, Calea Vitan to the East, Mihai Bravu Road to the South and Splaiul Unirii to the West (Râul Dâmbovița). In order to achieve sustainable urban regeneration, it is necessary carrying out a staged process, according to the proposals of the Urban Regeneration Guide, with the following stages that can be carried out simultaneously or successively as follows: Stage 1. Organization of the integrated green system Stage 2. Structural reorganization of the neighborhood Stage 3. Configuration of new urban islands Stage 4. Structuring and organizing the space determined by the new urban islands
